At least eight people were killed and 20 injured after a car bomb went off in Afrin’s al-Hal market on Sunday, according to reports.
Local media said that an explosives-laden vehicle was detonated in the busy vegetable market.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
Afrin is controlled by Turkish-backed jihadists that seized the area earlier this year in the Turkish-led ‘Olive Branch’ military operation against the People’s Protection Units (YPG) Kurdish militants.
