Yarmouk Camp is a 2.11-square-kilometer (0.8 sq mi) district of the city of Damascus, populated by Palestinians, with hospitals and schools.
It is located 8 kilometers (5 miles) from the center of Damascus and inside the municipal boundaries but when established in 1957, it was outside the surrounding city
It was captured by "moderate" jihadists in 2012, then by ISIS jihadists. In May 2018 it was liberated by the Syrian Government Forces
Since 2012 until it's liberation in May of 2018 it was a battleground of the "moderate" and iSIS jihadists.
