PKK guerrillas infiltrated the positions of Turkish soldiers in southern Kurdistan, northern Iraq.
The Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) carried out a deadly ambush against the Turkish Army in northern Iraq this week, Gerîla TV reported.
According to the report, PKK group attacked a Turkish Army post on Hill Lelikan in Sidekan region - the Diyala Governorate of Iraq on October 22nd, resulting in the death of 8 soldiers and the capture of this site.
As shown in the go pro footage below, the PKK forces were able to overwhelm the Turkish soldiers at this military post and seize the area:
Currently, the PKK and Turkish military are involved in a fierce battle in northern Iraq, as the latter attempts to eliminate the Kurdish group’s presence in the region.
